When the COVID-19 pandemic began, we closed our clinic doors from March 16th to August 10th, 2020 so that we could both practice and encourage social distancing for ourselves and our patients.  We spent this time updating the clinic space and our procedures to try to provide as safe as an environment as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19 when we reopened our clinic doors.

Here is what we have done and are doing:

  • New air circulation systems have been installed in each treatment room to filter and UV sanitize the air.

  • All furniture has been replaced with sanitizable surfaces that are being cleaned between each use.

  • All touched surfaces are being sanitized several times per day or between each use.

  • All patients, practitioners and staff must wear masks at all time inside the clinic spaces.

  • Each patient must answer screening questions before each visit.  Patients who are actively having symptoms that may be COVID-19 related are asked to reschedule or have telehealth visits only until symptoms resolve.

  • Each employee will be screened for signs of COVID-19 before the start of the work day.

  • Each patient visit will begin with taking your temperature, then asking you to visit the restroom to wash your hands.  We will also test your pulse rate, oxygen saturation and blood pressure at each visit.

  • All patients must sign a COVID-19 agreement in their electronic health record before being seen for their first appointment back in clinic.

  • The schedule has been limited so that there is adequate time to clean between patients and only one patient will be in common spaces at any given time.

  • The front door is locked and the herbal medicinary is closed for browsing.

  • Payments for visits and herbs will be done by invoice, minimizing time spent in common spaces.

We look forward to seeing you in clinic.  If you have any questions about our protocols, give us a call or send an email.
